Today Room One, Two, and Three went on a trip.
We went to the park first. I played with Charlee, Raima, and Amelie. Raima and Charlee went on the swing. Amelie and I were pushing them and Charlee flew off the swing. It was really funny.
Then we went to the Museum. A lady explained some things to us like, how Men and Women couldn't go to the beach together, and how a Man was selling ostrich eggs and their feathers and the ostriches ran out on New Brighton Road, and how New Brighton beach caught on fire, and the kids took a day off school and put the fire out. We also explored the museum, that was fun.
Then we went to the library. At the library Charlee, Raima, Amelie and I colored in some coloring things. I colored in a turtle.
Then we had to go back to school. It was a very fun trip.
Would you want to go on a trip like that?

Visual Mihi
W.A.L.T Identify who we are using are using a visual Mihi.
Today I finished doing my Visual Mihi. Room one had to draw our Mountain, our river, what we like, our flag, and Korus that represent all of our family members. We also made an avatar, some people drew them but I made mine. Then we done the outline with crayon or vivid I used crayon. Then we could color with crayons or the dye. I used the crayons. Once I finished coloring we dyed the background. Then we glued our avatars on them.
I chose the symbols because they are the things I like. I drew a drawing on paper, a tree, a flower, a cat, and food. I would of drawn more but I couldn't think of anything else. I also drew a kiwi and a rugby ball because they are New Zealand things.
Next time I do a Visual Mihi, I am going to not make my drawings as detailed because when I out lined them with crayon it was kinda hard. I liked drawing the pictures because I like drawing.

Stem
W.A.L.T. Problem solve as a team.
Today my class went to Room 4 to do S.T.E.M. For stem we had to make a chair out of paper and tape. We were in groups, in my group I had Jennifer, Sam, and Bryce.
The chair had to be 10cm tall and it had to hold up a soft toy. Our chair wasn't 10cm tall but it was strong and stable.
Have you done this before?

Sand Dunes
Today room two and three went to a beach to learn about sand dunes. My class Room two went with Pete, and Room three went with another person.
First Pete told us about health and safety, and explained a few things to us. We got into groups of five in my group I had Chleo, Amelie, Jennifer, and Raima. We made sand dunes, and done things to them like put a hole in the middle, protect them, and pretend that our fingers were a sports team running up and down the sand dunes. It was fun.
Do you know what a Sand Dune is
