For the past week we have been learning about an inspiring person, I done Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela has done many good things and I made a presentation on Canva about him.

The parts of Mass

 W.A.L.T Identify the parts of mass.

Today we made a DLO thingy about the parts of mass. We dragged the photos into the squares and then took a screenshot of it.

Easter Sunday

The people that were there was Jesus, his disciples/friends, Joseph, Mary, Angel, and the Guards. 

Joseph took Jesus' body to the tomb and put the big stone in front of the door. The guards came to guard it. Then there was an earthquake, Mary saw that the door was opened so she went in and saw that Jesus wasn't there, but she saw an Angel. The Angel told Mary that Jesus had risen, Mary went to go tell Jesus' disciples/friends that he was alive.

It was on Easter Sunday (the day Jesus rises) in place called Jerusalem in Israel.

He rose because its what the profits had said and since he is the son of God.

The positives were that Jesus had risen from the dead and  everyone was happy because he was alive, and the the negatives were that there was an Earthquake and some people would of been worried that something could of happened to him.

A way they could get everyone to know is by putting posters up or say the lord has risen to everyone.

If I was Mary I would be happy, relieved, excited and kinda nervous.

Jesus was put into the tomb and then a few days later there was an earthquake and Mary saw that the door was opened and there was an angel in there. The angel told Mary that Jesus had risen and she went to go tell Jesus' friends/disciples.

What happened in the video was that there was an earthquake and then an angel came, the angel told Mary that Jesus had risen and the Jesus came to her.

Sacraments

Today for R.E we learnt about Sacraments. We done a google doc and matched some things up.

Paul Diary Entry

W.A.L.T identify how people turning away from sin bring further grace and love to enable people to become more like Jesus.

Today for R.E I done a Diary Entry for Paul.

How has this Transformation allowed Paul to be more like Jesus?
Paul had stopped hurting Jesus and changed.

How can I make changes in my life to be more like Jesus?
By being nice and believing in Jesus and God.

Dear Diary,

Three days ago, I was trying to make people turn against Jesus, by saying the Lord will kill them. Suddenly I heard him, he told me to stop doing what I was doing. He told me to go to the city and there will be someone there that will tell you what to do. I couldn't see and I went three days without food, or water. When I got there Jesus had called out to a person called Ananias, he heard things about me. But still came. He told me "Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me. He told me some stuff and I then shouted "Jesus is the son of God!" Everyone was amazed because I was against Jesus before. That is when my name changed from Saul to Paul.

Reliable

W.A.L.T describe what the virtue of being reliable means and identify how we show this virtue.

Today I done a DLO about Reliable. Being Reliable means to be a trustworthy friend and so they can rely on you.

I enjoyed making this Reliable DLO because, it was fun making it.

Facts about Mary

Today for R.E I done a DLO about Mary. We chose 6 facts about her, I think the most important fact I chose was how Mary lived a good life, an she loved God very much. Do you know any other facts about Mary? What are they?

Religious Education

For R.E Room one made an animation about the Easter Story. It was very fun making it. Would you want to make an animation about The Easter Story? If not what would you make an animation about?

The Easter Story

For R.E. we had to summarize the story of Jesus getting nailed to the cross. Did I summarize the
story right?

Jesus is the son of God, while Jesus was on earth he saved people from their sickness. He did many miracles like calming huge storms, and he even raised people from the dead.

The Jewish leaders and teachers did not like what Jesus was doing, or how he claimed to be
the son of God. So they made a plan to arrest him and to get rid of him for good. Judas, one of
Jesus´ disciples, agreed to betray Jesus, and give him over to the religious leaders for some
money!

They arrested Jesus and took him to the Religious Leaders. The Religious Leader decided to
crucify Jesus. They kicked Jesus, spat on him, his clothes were torn and taken from him, they
put a crown made out of thorns on his head, and forced him to carry his cross up the mountain!

He was beaten so badly that he couldn't stand on his own! So he needed help carrying the cross
up the mountain! Once he made it to the place he was getting crucified which is called the skull.
They nailed him to the cross and waited for him to die.

Then two ladies went to go see Jesus but Jesus was gone! Because he came back to life for 40
days!

The End.

Visual Mihi

W.A.L.T Identify who we are using are using a visual Mihi.

Today I finished doing my Visual Mihi. Room one had to draw our Mountain, our river, what we like, our flag, and Korus that represent all of our family members. We also made an avatar, some people drew them but I made mine. Then we done the outline with crayon or vivid I used crayon. Then we could color with crayons or the dye. I used the crayons. Once I finished coloring we dyed the background. Then we glued our avatars on them.

I chose the symbols because they are the things I like. I drew a drawing on paper, a tree, a flower, a cat, and food. I would of drawn more but I couldn't think of anything else. I also drew a kiwi and a rugby ball because they are New Zealand things.

Next time I do a Visual Mihi, I am going to not make my drawings as detailed because when I out lined them with crayon it was kinda hard. I liked drawing the pictures because I like drawing.

Abraham and Sarah

         

Today I made a google slide about Abraham and Sarah. About how God had promised to give them as many descendants as the stars in the sky.

Using manners in our words!

W.A.L.T Use manners in what we say. 

Manners are things that you are supposed to be polite and make someones day better.

You usually use manners when someone says thank you, or if you receive something, if someone is in the way and you say pardon and other things like that. 

I think I need to work on saying may I because I do not usually say it.
